Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website ("Malaysia New Property Launches", "we", "our") is operated at interstellarsanctuary.com. We provide a free map-based explorer of new property launches in Peninsular Malaysia, sourced from publicly available TEDUH (KPKT) data.

2. Data we collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service:

• Account data — if you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password (stored securely via Supabase). Google sign-in stores your Google account email and display name.
• Watchlist data — properties you save are stored against your account in our database.
• Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). These are used to monitor site health and are not sold.
• AI queries — questions you type into the Project Assistant are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate answers. Anthropic's own privacy policy applies to that processing.

We do not collect payment card details directly. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use browser localStorage to cache map data (property listings) for up to 6 hours, reducing load times on repeat visits. No tracking or advertising cookies are set by us.

Third-party services (Google AdSense, Google Analytics) may set their own cookies when present. You can manage these via your browser settings or a cookie opt-out tool.

4. How we use your data

• To authenticate you and maintain your account
• To store and retrieve your saved watchlist
• To answer your AI property queries (forwarded to Anthropic)
• To monitor and improve site performance
• To display relevant advertisements (via Google AdSense, where enabled)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data storage and security

Account and watchlist data is stored in Supabase (hosted in Singapore). Row-Level Security (RLS) is enforced — you can only access your own data. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

6. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under applicable privacy law (including Malaysia's PDPA and, where relevant, GDPR) you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to certain processing

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
